The Flight Crew

Sam Kamel

CEO
Pilot, onboard flight engineer and head of customer services. Flight time with big and small air frames – from McKinsey to Netscape E-LOAN, Microsoft and Ingram Micro. Passionate leader generating strong vertical lift. Flight training at Cornell, BSEE and Harvard MBA.

Steve Moody

VP Biz Dev & Sales
Co-pilot for airport relations, client development and project expansion. 24 years landing airport businesses. First flight in 1994 with Ackerley Airport Advertising and has since flown with JCDecaux, Corey Airport Services and most recently Lamar Airport Advertising. Steady hand with customer and partners.

Ray Gibson

VP Engineering
Ensures customer comfort from takeoff to landing. Manages data analytics and machine learning algorithms for wait time solutions. Qualified pilot for VoIP, AWS infrastructure, and LiDAR. Designs requirements, specifications, and guides installation plans for the iinside wait time solutions.

Steve Swanson

Marketing and Customer Experience leader. Keen navigational skills identify the right flight path, best features, and how to earn passenger and customer trust and respect.

Stephen Callender

VP Product Mgmt
Stephen works directly with airports to understand their pain points and needs so that our team can more effectively develop product opportunities. He has led strategy, design, and development of multiple software products, both for enterprise and commercial use in the aviation industry.

Dale Kirby

Dale Kirby comes to us with over 35 years of aviation experience, Dale held previous senior management roles with SITA, ARINC & Ultra Electronics as well as 21 years of service with Delta Air Lines. He has served on many industry committees including the steering committee for BIT ACI-NA. Dale has focused the last 15 years of his career on airport innovation including the introduction of common use Kiosks and piloting facial recognition boarding systems.

Dale holds a degree in Business from University of GA. Additionally, he holds a FAA Pilots License with over 2500 flight hours. He lives in St. Helena Island, South Carolina with his wife, Amy.

Kevin Stephenson

Kevin is a software executive, architect, consultant and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience spanning finance, social media, entertainment, insurance, energy and real estate sectors. As the Chief Software Architect of Myspace, he was instrumental in developing Myspace’s second generation, cutting-edge platform capable of supporting billions of users. He holds a B.S., cum laude, in Biochemistry from University of California at Riverside.

Houston Staton

Chairman, Board of Directors
Houston is the visionary founder of iinside. He has provided financial support and management guidance to the company since its inception. Mr. Staton has extensive business interests in Latin America. Mr. Staton has held executive positions at Coca Cola, and until its recent sale, served as a Member of the Board of Pan American Beverages Inc., a multi-billion dollar corporation and the largest bottler of Coca Cola in the world. Currently Mr. Staton serves as the Chairman of the Board for iinside and devotes full-time efforts to this company. Mr. Staton holds a degree in Engineering Economic Systems from Georgia Tech and MS in Corporate Finance from Georgia State.

Jim Ashley, Jr

Board Member
Jim is one of the founding members of iinside, and previously served as CEO of the company. In this role, he was responsible for managing design, development and delivery of the company’s location-based services networks. Mr. Ashley has earned several patents in the field of telematics, and he has held leading technology roles in several other organizations, including AES Group, Boeing, Rockwell International, Litton, Intraspace, and Space Applications, Inc.

Carlos Hernandez-Artigas

Board Member
Carlos has been a member of the Board of Directors for iinside for over a decade. In 1993 he cofounded Forrestal Capital in Miami, FL, and as of February 2016 joined the ranks of Big Sur Partners as an advisor. Mr. Hernandez-Artigas served as General Consul and Secretary of Panamanian Beverages, Inc. (NYSE: PB). From 1992 to October 1993, he served as an associate of the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York City. Mr. Hernandez-Artigas worked as a lawyer for several years in Mexico and as a foreign attorney in Dallas, TX and New York. He has been a Director of Arcos Dorados Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ARCO) since 2007. He also serves as Board Member of Hospitales MAC in Mexico. He graduated from Universidad Panamericana, Escuela de Derecho in 1987 and University of Texas at Austin, School of Law in 1998. He also holds an MBA from IPADE in Mexico City in 1996.

Rafael De La Vega

Board Member
Rafael is the Head of Digital Strategic Partnerships at Banco Santander. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of iinside, Rafael is also an advisory board member for Nabooki, an online bookkeeping service. Rafael holds an MBA from IPADE Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamerica.
